RETURNED SOLDIERS' CHOIR
In a world torn with the strife and turmoil of a terrible war it is not surprising that some of the heroes of the last war are largely forgotten, but it is pleasing to know that among those who do remember their old comrades are the members of the Returned Soldiers' Choir. This body, formed some seven years ago, in addition to taking part in public performances, periodically visits the Red Cross Hospital, the Ewart Hospital, Porirua Mental Hospital, and other institutions where old soldier friends may be found, and, with the assistance of a few soloists, gives the inmates some bright hours of enjoyment. Recently the choir gave concerts at the above institutions, being assisted with instrumental items by Mrs. G. Holloway and Mrs. Bevan and songs and recitations by Lois Foote. That these entertainments are popular with the patients is proved by the urgent requests for an early return of the party,' and the choir is to be congratulated on the enthusiasm shown.
