SOLDIERS FROM PRINTING OFFICE
A function was held in the machineroom of the Government Printing Office last Friday in honour of six members of the staff who have volunteered for active service.
Mr. A. M. Parkinson, Father of the Chapel, who presided, stated that the machine-room chapel was already represented in the military and naval forces overseas.
Mr. E. V. Paul, Government Printer, stated that he had great pride in the knowledge that so many of his staff were giving their services to the Empire's cause.
Mr. Paul presented Corporal H. Miller, Privates J. M. Taylor, R. Lockwood, G. Crombie, G. Barr, and J. Bradley with suitable gifts on behalf of the members of the machine-room chapel, and extended to them the sincere good wishes of all.
Corporal Miller suitably replied on behalf of his soldier colleagues.
