A SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE
The C.J.C. Grand National Meeting opened in fine but overcast weather. There was a large attendance, and the totalisator handled £75,434 10s, compared with £67,149 last year, an increase of £8285 10s. Results (per Press Association) were:—
