40 MEN DETAINED

(Received July 2, 1 a.m.) BELFAST, July 1. As a sequel to the raids made on banks in Belfast by armed men on June 28, the police raided Nationalist districts and took 40 members of the 1.R.A., most of whom were in their beds, for detention under the Special Powers Act.
