REPAIRS TO BRIDGE
It was stated by the Railway Department this afternoon that repairs had progressed satisfactorily on the bridge north of Longburn damaged by a shifting tractor in freight on Sunday morning, and that it was hoped that the 3 p.m. express from Wellington to Auckland would be able to cross the bridge normally today. From that time the delays which have been experienced on the line should cease.
