CHARGE OF TREACHERY

LONDON, May 13,
Mr. Arthur Greenwood said: "Labour's challenge brought down the Government and Labour cannot refuse to share responsibility for the conduct of the war. The suggestion that Mr. Attlee and I are guilty of treachery is a foul lie. It would have been greater treachery to stand aside."
A Chelsea amendment opposing the National Government and demanding power for a Socialist Government was defeated by an enormous majority.
The Labour resolution was carried am a. card vote by 2,413,000 to 170,000.
