"NO STRIKES IN GERMANY"

CANBERRA, May 13.
The Prime Minister, Mr. R. G. Menzies, tonight issued an appeal to Australians to sink] their differences, close their ranks, and stand behind the Government. He declared that the position in Europe was of the greatest gravity amd constituted a powerful challenge to the British Empire. ; ' "There are no strikes in Germany today," said Mr. Tttenzies, "and there are no controversies about the incidence of taxation. , The whole German nation is bent ort clearing the ~ way for domination of the world. Who can doubt that our ffete will turn upon victory or defeat. in Holland or Belgium? We are going ahead with the raising of troops 1 and an accelerated production of myrnitions."
