ROME, May 13. Signer Mussolini has mobilised the Fascist Party for an intensive drive for the purpose of bolsterimg up loyalty to himself and whipping up enthusiasm for wkr,and hatred for the Allies.

Violent demonstrations broke out inf Bologna, Forli, Ban, la, Palermo, and other cities.

Florence, Naples, Salerna, Aqu:

Hundreds of Bolognese students paraded the streets waving flags and shouting "Down with England." A local Fascist leader addressed a wellorganised demonstration of schoolboys and Fascist cadets at Forli. Florentine youths" surrounded the British and French Consulates shouting" imprecations. Students at Bari assembled outside the German Consulate shouting vivas for the Axis Powers.

Bus conductors in Rome handed out anti-Allied pamphlets with tickets. A British woman tourist, who protested and tore up the leaflet, was severely man-handled.

The police and troops guarding the British and French Embassies have been increased to 500.

The Fascists have increased the terrorism against the Vatican newspaper, "Osservatore Romano," and the breach with the Vatican has widened with Mussolini's endorsement of a book which the Vatican had just placed on the Index.

The British Consulate tourists to leave.

Medical students in Rome demonstrated against England and France and marched to the British Embassy, where police intervened. Students at the English, Scottish, and Belgian theological colleges in Eome are leaving for home as soon as possible. »
