LONDON, May 12
In reply to the French announcement that any German parachute troops found disguised in Allied uniforms would be immediately shot, a German spokesman said that the parachute troops were regular troops of the German army wearing a special uniform and not camouflaged. Any illtreatment of captured parachute troops would result in prompt and very sharp counter-measures.
Meanwhile, the Germans are maintaining their parachute tactics in Belgium and Holland, but whereas parachute troops in Holland aimed at the capture of aerodromes, the purpose of parachute troops in Belgium was mainly concerned with sabotage and the circulation of alarmist rumours.
