ESPERANTO
The weekly meeting of the Miramar Esperanto Society was held last evening in the clubroom, St. Aidan's Hall, Miramar Avenue. Members reported the receipt of greetings from several foreign countries and the arrival of Esperanto magazines from overseas. The president, Mr. Bertram Potts, announced that he was satisfied with the progress made bygthe society during the current year™ and suggested that as many as possible should attend the monthly meeting of "La Esperantista Kultura Rondo de Wellington," where Esperanto only was spoken. After classes, supper was served and general conversation in the language encouraged. At the conclusion the president gave a talk in Esperanto oh "Stranga Sperto en Los Angeles" ("A Strange Experience in Los Angeles'1), recounting an experience which befell him in the Californian city. Beginners expressed themselves pleased with the talk, which constituted good practice in attuning the ear to the spoken language.
