The appearance of the programme for the Wellington Racing Club's Winter Meeting, to be held at Trentham on July 9, 11, and 13, will stimulate interest in big winter jumping contests at this end of the North Island. The trophy has been presented by Mr. C. M. Turrell. In all the stakes distributed over the three days amount to £10,800, which is an apt illustration of the high level in prize-monies offered at metropolitan meetings in Wellington.
