OBITUARY
MR. FREDERICK J. FEEHAN
' In the death of Mr. Frederick. John 'Feehan, which occurred yesterday : after a brief illness, Karori West loses ■ one of its best-known residents and keenest workers in the interests of the district. It was not so long ago that Mr. Feehan, who was, 49 years of age, took a leading part in the formation of the Karori West Householders' Association, and he was largely responsible for certain of the representations which brought about transport an,d i other improvements in the. district. The [interests of the Karori West School also engaged'his close, attention, and for some years after it came into being he was one of the committee's most I energetic and Aactive members. He was a man always, keen to give service in the interests of others, and he will be greatly missed by the com-: munity of which he. has been a-pro-minent member. ,He was a returned soldier, and the establishment of suitable headquarters for .■ the ■ Karori R.S.A. auxiliary was a move which had his strong support. As a member of the messengers' staff at Parliament Buildings he was also highly regarded. A widow and seven children are left to mourn their loss, and with them deep sympathy will be felt by a large circle of friends. The funeral is to take place tomorrow afternoon, j
