Although overcast, the weather was still fine for the final day of 'the Wellington \ Racing Club's Centennial Autumn Meeting at Trentham today. A couple of wetting showers early this morning had no material effect on tKe track, and the going was in excellent order.

A large crowd was in attendance and the meeting promised to rank as one of the most successful autumn fixtures staged by the club.

The Plunket,Nursery.saw the defeat of- a very hot favourite in, Cetewayo, Who appeared to miss the jump-out and was never in the hunt thereafter, although he was up sixth at \the postNightbeam was always within striking distance of the leading bunch and he finished very determinedly to overhaul Chary, who had been responsible for practically all the pace, in the last few strides. Retrogression was third practically all the way, but Kadina. weakened into fourth after showing early speed. Air Flight and Flying Spy had every chance, but Oragon never got within striking distance.
