NATIONAL ART GALLERY.
A visit to the National Art Gallery will give much pleasure and return for study. There ai-e many different outlooks and methods of painting on display, besides a fine collection of drawings, etchings, drypoints, and sculpture. The large Academy gallery has been rehung, and now contains a collection of New Zealand art from the earliest period. The portraits commence with that of the first Governor, Hobson. The Coronation picture gives gi*eat pleasure to all who see it. The gallery is open daily during the week, and on Sunday afternoon, which is a particularly good time to see the exhibition.
