BACK FROM WAR ZONE.
Deanna Durbin really couldn't be blamed for forgetting her lines on a few occasions recently. And particularly she couldn't be criticised if a crying scene was difficult. She • was very excited and happy over the return of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Durbin, who, after an absence of several months, returned to Hollywood from England, their birthplace. • They arrived in Los Angeles at 1.30 a.m. with the result that Deanna did notge' to bed until 4 o'clock. She, reported to the studio, sleepy, excited, but happy.
Henry Koster, directing Deanna ir, VFirst Love" at Universal, excused hi. young star at 3 p.m.- on the first daj--6f shooting following the return •ol - her parents. "Go home and have k good talk and a good sleep," he saui to his singing star.
