In moving the remit, Mr. P. Dayies, Bush district, said , that the Government could not find money : to give the farmers a fair price for their products, but £70,000 was to be found "for a palace for a bloke named 'Scrim' to put over propaganda for the Government." If they wanted propaganda the Labour Party should pay for it.

Mr. S. W. Smith seconded the remit. It was regrettable that party politics had been mentioned, Mr. C. P. - Agar said. No matter what Government had been in power there would have been a protest against such; expenditure during the war. The remit should be, taken on its economic - basis without consideration of party. ,* ■
