Following criticism in the House of Commons that certain defence regulations, as drawn, constituted, a too great infringement on civil liberty, the Home Secretary (Sir John Anderson) consulted a committee consisting of members of all political parties. The discussions resulted in an agreement to revise the regulations and the amended regulations, as agreed. upon, were laid on the table in the House of. Commons today.
