NORTHLAND SHOW
MANY FINE FLOWERS
The rose show held by the Northland Horticultural Society in St. Anne's Hail last Saturday was an unqualified success. There were good entries in all classes and a high standard was maintained. Mrs. C. Stewart, M.P., opened the show. , The president of the society, Mr: G. S.; Nlcoil. reminded those present of tlie-ZNational; Flower Show to be held in [Wellington on January oO and 31, 1940.

De Blois's special trophy for most points iu the pansy and viola classes. Decorative. —Mi<s. Morris Jones, 2 firsts, a seconds; Mrs. G. S. Nicoll, 5 firsts, 2 seconds. 1 third; Mrs. E. J.
