ROYAL FILLY DEFEATED
One of the greatest disappointments at the Ascot Meeting last month was the defeat of the King's filly, Great Truth, in the Queen Mary Stakes. She is by Bahram out of Frankly and had won her me previous race at Manchester in delightful style. In the field of 28 two-year-old fillies, Great Truth was a hot favourite, but Lord Lonsdale's Snowber..; (leased from the National Stud) proved victorious. Snowberry is a daughter of that great and popular filly, Myrobella, and, like her dam, she has the ability to get away from the gate like a rocket.
