LONDON'S SHIPPING
During the week ended May 12, 1074 vessels, representing 1,040,150 net register tons, used the Port of London. Of these 546 vessels (838,600 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports, and 528 vessels (201,550 \net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included ten meat cargoes, two from Australia, four from New Zealand, and four from South America, comprising 577,000 carcasses of lamb and mutton, 123,000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits, and sundries. An exceptionally large cargo consisting of 1000 logs of floated British Columbian pine was loaded into the s.s. Ardgantoch in the Surrey Commercial Dock for shipment to Scotland.
