FULL SUPPORT
FARMERS AND THEIR LEADER
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
DUNEDIN, June 7
A recent suggestion by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) that the Dominion president of the Farmers' Union, Mr. W. W. Mulholland, did not enjoy the whole-hearted support of farmers, was emphatically refuted by the provincial conference of the Otago branch of the Farmers' Union today, when the following resolution was carried with enthusiasm:
"That this conference greatly regrets the statement recently attributed to the Prime Minister to the effect that the farmers of this Dominion are not behind the Dominion president, Mr. Mulholland, and assures the Prime Minister that, so far as Otago is concerned, his statement is contrary to fact."
