OBITUARY

MR. FRANK ROUTLEY

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

LEVIN, This Day.

The death occurred recently of Mr. Frank Routley, of Levin. Prior to coming to Levin, where he had lived for nearly 20 years, Mr. Routley was farming in the Taihape district. After serving in the Great War he married in England and brought his wife to New Zealand. She died some eight years ago. His second wife is the younger daughter of Mr. Frank Best, a well-known Koputaroa farmer. There are two sons of this marriage. Mr. M. Routley, of Kelburn, is a brother. Two brothers, Messrs. A. and J. Routley, reside in the Auckland district, as also do two sisters.

Mr. Routley took an active interest in racing^ farming, and bowls.

There was a large and representative attendance at the funeral, which took place at the Levin Cemetery. The coffin, draped with a Union Jack and covered by many beautiful wreaths, was borne to the grave by Messrs. Walter Ryder (president of the Levin Racing Club), A. M. Colquhoun (president of the Horowhenua A. and P. Association), A. O. Powell (president of the Levin Bowling Club), H Mackay (R.S.A.), F. Allen (brother-in-law), and D. P. Todd.
