Mr. Frank Oakes, the conductor of . the Wellington R.S.A. Choir, and Mr. D. R. Menzies were last night elected ■ honorary members of the Wellington R.S.A. in recognition of their services to the association. Mr. W. H. Gannan has been re- ' elected as president of the Wanganui J branch of the R.S.A. Mr. H. A. Findlay, of the Bank of ' Australasia, Upper Hutt, has been ap- ' pointed manager of the Te Aroha I branch of the bank. He will be sue- , ceeded by Mr. W. L. Barkman, of the Matamata branch. : Mr. W. T. Richards has been appointed to the board of directors of MacDuffs, Limited. v Colonel N. W. McD. Weir, officer commanding the Northern Military District, and Lieutenant-Colonel L. Potter, general staff officer, arrived from Auckland today by train to attend a conference of officers commanding districts. : ■ Mr. D. Holderness, superintendent and engineer of the Auckland Harbour Board, arrived today by the Limited express. The Hon. A. Burns, M.L.C., has - .been reappointed to the Auckland University College Council as the representative of the Education Board.
Colonel P. H. Bell, officer commanding the Southern Military Command, arrived from Christchurch today, accompanied by Lieutenant-Colonel K. Stewart.
