SCOUT JAMBOREE

CENTENNIAL MEETING

j Because of limited transport facilities, the Australian contingent of Boy Scouts for the Centennial jamboree at Heretaunga next December will be limited to 520 boys, of whom 196 will be from New South Wales. The contingent will arrive in two parties, one landing at Auckland on December 18 and the other at Wellington on December 25 A party of 50 Rovers and Scouts will arrive about a fortnight earlier. About 50 boys will come from Suva, and it is hoped there will be parties from the Dutch East Indies, South Africa, England, Holland, and Canada.

It is expected that there will be between 6000 and 7000 boys at the jamboree.
