"ONLY FAIR METHOD"
Only four votes out of a voting strength of 150 were cast against the Wanganui R.S.A. motion, "That this meeting confirms the opinion that universal military training is a proper and fair method of training the youth of the country to defend the Dominion, states "The Post's" correspondent. Several speakers were of the opinion that if the volunteers were paid a better wage, more men would join up.
