COUNTY CHAIRMAN FOUND DEAD

DUNEDIN, May 11
Mr. Joseph Cross, chairman of the Peninsula County Council, was found dead in an outbuilding on his farm, Portobello, at 9 o'clock this morning, with a gunshot wound in the head.
