FLYING LICENCES

By relaxing to a certain extent the provisions covering the issue of licences to flying instructors it is hoped to counteract the recent exodus of aero club instructors into the commercial airway services and the expanding ranks of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Authority for this action is contained in regulations issued with the Gazette published last evening. Under the regulations it will be possible for selected "club candidates to undergo a modified course of instruction to qualify for assistant instructors' licences.
