"The American travel public has jnly just corrsmenced to realise what you have to offer. The real achievement of transportation is to bring our peoples together in large numbers, and it is certain <of accomplishment," said Mr. William P. Roth, president of the Matson Navigation Company, who is a through passcmger by the Mariposa to Australia.
He said that finality had not been reached on tfiie proposal to build two new ships for the America-New Zea-land-Australia route. "We are giving consideration at the present time to increases in shipbuilding costs and the question of Subsidy," he added.
