In a Sheffield Shield match, Queensland beat Victoria by an innings and 11 runs. Queensland declared their first innings closed at 575 1 for seven. (Bowling, McCormick three for 105, Gregory two for 96).
Victoria made 348 and 216 (Rigg 44. Lee 64, Gregory 45; W. Tallon five for 77). The Queensland wicketkeeper, D. Tallon, stumped two and caught one batsmeo. \
