WEDDING

HILL—LEMMON.

Pink and mauve hydrangeas decorated St. Matthew's Church, Brooklyn, recently for the wedding of Marjorie, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Lemmon, to Gordon, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. Mason Hill, of Brooklyn. The Rev Mr. Tye officiated and Miss McNickle presided at the organ. The service was fully choral. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of ivory embossed chiffon made on slim-fitting lines with long, close-fitting sleeves pointed over the wrists. From a < centre panel trimmed with tiny buttons the skirtswept into a graceful train. The bride's tulle veil was held in place by a cluster of roses and she carried a sheaf of cream roses and gladioli. The two bridesmaids. Miss Emily Lemmon (sister of the bride) and Miss Amy Christison, were dressed alike in [ frocks of lavender georgette made with ruched bodices and full flared skirts and finished at the waist with rows of narrow velvet ribbon. They wore haloes of pink rosebuds and carried posies of roses and sweet peas to tone. Mr. Ray Hill was best man and Mr. Allan Jessup was groomsman. ' During the signing of the register, ; Miss Petrie sang a solo "Thanks Be To God." : The reception was held at the May- j fair Cabaret, where Mrs. Lemmon, assisted by the bridegroom's mother, Mrs. ' Hill, received the guests. Mrs. Lemmon • wore a gown of midnight blue lace : with hat to tone and accessories in : cyclamen shades, and carried a posy of j roses and gladioli. Mrs. Hill was dressed in a smart navy blue and white ensemble and carried a posy of red " roses and autumn leaves. ' ; The bride travelled in a suit of 1 reseda green with hat and accessories i in London tan. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon ; Hill will make their future home in 1 Oamaru. :
