NEW LIGHT AT TONGATABU. The light formerly exhibited from Niu Aunofft Point, Tongatabu Island, in the Tonga or Friendly group, has been\replaced by a new light in lat. 21deg 3min 57sec S., long. 175deK 19min 53sec W. The light will flash every three seconds, the flash lasting .3 seconds. Tint elevation of the light is 139 feet and it will have a visibility of 14 miles. The structure is 84 feet high and painted red. The light is unwatched. STEPHENS ISLAND SIGNALS. The continuous signal watch and the exhibition of storm signals on Stephens Island, Cook Strait, were discontinued on January 31. Keepers will maintain a look-out during the ordinary course of their day duties, and take any signal* observed, but no night watch will be kept, WAIMARAMA AT LONDON. The Waimarama, which left Lyttelton oa January 7 for Great Britain, arrived at London j>n Monday. BUOY FOR FOVEAUX STRAIT. On about February 15 a light-and.-whistle buoy will be established at Fairchild Rock at the eastern approach to Foveaux Strait.
