YOUNGEST IN EUROPE

new Fascist state

GERMAN OBJECTIONS

LONDON, January 6.

The Bucharest correspondent of the "News Ghronicle" describes the new form of Government' in Rumania as totalitarian, with King Carol as leader. He says Rumania is now the youngest totalitarian State in Europe, with a monopolistic political party, militia, uniforms, and a salute modelled on those of Italian Fascism.

He adds that Jews are not to be admitted to the executive council, which is known as the United Fron + of the National Renaissance.

Germany objects to the new Government because it forbids the existence of other political parties and does not wish the 800,000 German-Rumanians to join up with the totalitarians. The German-Rumanians are demanding the right to form a separate political party for which negotiations are in progress.
