LONDON, October I. Today Mr. Chamberlain and his wife left London for Chequers, the Premier's country house. They were botk warmly cheered. Letters in "The Times" suggest that a fund be raised for the Prime Minister as a thanks offering, to be devoted |to any purpose he selects. ! Mr. Chamberlain has requested the (authorities to present to hospitals all the bouquets given to him. The Versailles Town Council has made Mr. Chamberlain an honorary i citizen. A French paper suggests that [wartime municipalities should name | one street Neville Chamberlain.
