SYDNEY COLLISION SEQUEL

SYDNEY, This Day. By an order of the High Court, a writ has been issued on behalf of the ! owners of the ship Macumba claiming £25,000 from the owners of the Sydney Star for damage alleged to have been caused in the collision between the vessels in Sydney Harbour on September 23. The owners of the Sydney Star have issued a writ claiming £100,000 from the owners of the Macumba. The vessels collided late at night. The Sydney Star had to be beached with a great hole amidships, on the port side over the engine-room. The Macumba was holed above the waterline. Also, her stem was badly twisted and her part bow badly damaged.
