JAPANESE BUDGET
EXPANSION "BEHIND GUNS"
TOKIO, September 27,
The Japanese Budget is estimated at £265,000,000, including £100,000,000 for new demands covering national defence expansion facilities "behind the
guns."
The fighting services demand a special military budget in order to finance hostilities after the fall of Hankow,* which the Chinese are still vigorously defending.
