Rose of the Valley Lodge, Lower Hutt.—Bro. A. Page presided over the last meeting, and there was a good attendance. Bro. Seddon reported on the successful visit paid by the Juvenile Lodge to Master ton. The social secretary, Sister Bentley, reported on the games evening. Lodge honours were accorded visiting members from Rose of Sharon Lodge, Upper Hutt. A date was fixed for the next table tennis tournament between the two Hutt lodges. Kilbirnie Lodge.—Bro. Courteney, Past Grand, presided at the last meeting. It was well attended: Bro. Levy reported on a social held at .Sister Wallis Lodge and Bro. Forbes reported on the Newtown Lodge's annual dance. One member was accepted on recommendation from Mosgiel Lodge. Sister Wallis Lodge.—Sister Megan Champion, Noble Grand, was in the chair at the last meeting. Advice was received from the Past Grands' Lodge that the ritual judges would visit the lodge in the middle of October. Three letters of recommendation were accepted. It was resolved to write Dannevirke, Manawatu, and Wanganui lodges advising that the entertainment arranged for them had been cancelled owing to the date being election day, and amended arrangements wouid have to be made. Several visitors were welcomed, and special mention made of the presence of Bro. Walker, of Mount Albert Lodge, Auckland. At the conclusion of the meeting an enjoyable social was held. Bro. C. O. Jorgensen was M.C., and the supper arrangements were supervised by Sister C. Forbes.
