ELECTION MUST BE HELD

Answering a question at Lower Hutt last night, Mr. O. C. Mazeng'arb (Nationalist candidate for Wellington Suburbs and an authority on constitutional law) stated that even if war were declared and we were immediately involved, the election campaign must proceed. "Parliament has been dissolved," said Mr. Mazengarb, "the writs have been issued, and there is no legislative or administrative procedure known to the law whereby the wirits can be recalled. Neither earthquake, pestilence, war. nor any other eijnierg&ncy can prevent the election fr;6m: being held on October 15."
