STOLE FIVE HORSES
MAORIS SENT TO PRISON

GISBORNE, September 27
On charges in connection with the theft of five horses from Rangitukia, two Maoris, Renata McLean and Nehe. Terakahurumai Waiti. both of Jerusalem, East Coast, were sentenced to six months' imprisonment by Messrs. R. H. Wicksteed and A. J. H. Kirkham. J.P.s, in the Ruatoria Court.
The horses were value J at £40 10s, and three separate charges were preferred against the accused.
