Pacific Cocktail.—i cup sugar, \ 'cup water, 1£ cups grapefruit juice, 1 cup crushed pineapple, \ cup lemon juice ; i cup red and white peppermints. Boil sugar and water together for three minutes. Chill thoroughly, then add to it the grapefruit juice, pineapple, and lemon juice. Stir and serve in cocktail glasses with peppermints crushed and sprinkle over each serving. Sunset Mousse.—An ideal spring day dessert. £ cup golden syrup, 2 egg yolks, i cup cold water, £ tablespoon gelatine, 1 dessertspoon lemon juice, 1 cup whipped cream. Heat syrup to boiling point. Beat
