TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD
The Brooklyn branch of the Townswomen's Guild met recently in the U.S.A. rooms. Mrs. J. Crowe presided over a large attendance and extended a welcome to new members and friends.
Mrs. H. K. Adamson gave an interesting talk on "Ailments Peculiar to Women."
The "best bloom" competition was won by Mrs. F. B. Jameson, with Mrs. Edwards second. Mrs. H. Nicholson gave much pleasure with two songs, and was accompanied by Mrs. Raine. The Glee Circle's numbers were much enjoyed, those taking part being Mesdames Broughton, Upton, Hillicker, and Roxborough, with Mrs. Fowler at the piano. For the arts and crafts circle Mrs. Young demonstrated the uses of eggshells on pottery which was milch appreciated. Posies were presented to the speaker and the singers.
Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Archer, Allen, Albert, Baker, Creswell, and Colville.
