PRICES WEAKEN
LONDON MEAT MARKET
The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the toliowing advice from- its London Office as at close of business this week: —Trade in both wethers and ewes is slow, and the market for lambs is quiet and unchanged. Larger supplies of chilled beef have caused prices to weaken. The market generally is affected by large supplies of Home-killed m&at. Wethers, light 4 5-8 dto 5Jd per lb, heavy 4d to 4Jd; ewes, 2£d to 3id; lambs, 2's 7 7-8 dto Bd, B's 7 7-8 dto Bd, 4's 7 3-8 d to 7£d, seconds 7d to 7 l-8d; chilled hinds, 5d to 54d; fores, 3d to 3|d.
