Decision was reserved yesterday afternoon by the Full Court on the appeal brought by A. and T, Burt, Ltd., electrical and general engineers, of Auckland, against the awarding of £3 by a Magistrate to J.- Blair, an en-, gineer, of Auckland, as wages for last Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day. The case involves the interpretation of sections of the Factories Act and the Factories Amendment Act, and the decision will affect factories throughout the Dominion. On the Bench were the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers), Mr. Justice Blair, Mr. Justice Callan, and Mr. Justice Northcroft, Mr. J. F. B. Stevenson, with him Mr. L. Alderton, appeared for the appellant, and Mr. P. B. Cooke, X.C, with him Mr. J. F. W. Dickson, for the respondent. -
