TREASURY BILLS RATE
(British Official Wireless.? (Received Sep&mber 24, 11.30 am.) RUGBY, September 23. The total amount applied for in tenders for £50,000,000 of Treasury bills was £,58,215,000. The average rate per cent, for bills^ at three months was 19s 7.07 d, as compared with 18s 10.75 d per cent: a week ago, and 11s 11-2 d the previous week. At the corresponding date a year ago tenders for £50,000,000 of Treasury bills totalled £79,025,000, and the average rate per cent, for bills at thre© (months was 9s 10.83 d.
