Racing next week at Otaki. and Kurow on Saturday and at Ohinemuri on Saturday and the following MonNominations for the Masterton Racing Club's Spring Meeting, to be held on Wednesday and Thursday week, are due at 8 o'clock on Monday evening. Otaki • handicaps are due on Monday and acceptances will close on Wed* nesday fevening. , . . Gay Hunting, who recently injured himself, was back on the tracks this week but he is still not being seriously worked. Two more stallions have been selected for service under the Remounts Encouragement scheme. Kiosk will do the Wairarapa district and Spear Dance has been chosen for the Waitaki district. The stallions at present at the Stonyhurst Stud, which is to be carried on by the trustees of the late Sir Charles Clifford, are Winning Hit (Autumnus—Winning Way), Cricket Bat (Winning Hit—Equipment), and Jericho (Archery—Judith). The brood mares number 22, mostly in foal to Winning Hit.
