WORLD TITLE BOUT

HENNEBERRY V. sVeELE?

Efforts are being made to persuade the New York Boxing Commission to recognise a fight in Sydney between Freddy Steele and Fred. Henneberfy as a world middleweight title contest, states the "Sydney Morning Herald."

The commission does not regard Al Hostak, who recently defeated Steele, as the champion.

Steele will visit Sydney in the summer for a series of contests at the Stadium.

New York did not consider Hostak the logical contender, deciding that preference should have been given to Fred Apostoli, in a championship match. Apostoli defeated Steele in a non-title fight before Steele had his recent disastrous encounter with Hostak. , .—-
