BROADWAY CLUB

The tenth annual meeting of the Broadway Tennis Club was held in the Miramar South School recently. In the absence of the president, Mr, A. McLean presided over an attendance of 32 members. The accounts for the past season showed a slight loss, which was due to a drop in membership, but a much more successful season is assured, as already the membership list shows an increase over last year. The club has been advised that the courts which are at present being relaid will be completed by the end of October, and until then the club is hiring two courts at Miramar, which will be available from Saturday; The following officers were elected for the ensuing season:—President, Mr. J. F. Forrester; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. J. Tomlinson and C. K. H. Donnell; club captain, Mr. P. Hawker; hon. secretary, Mr. L. D. Meier; hon. treasurer, Mr. R. G. Kaywood; hon. auditor, Mr. C. K. H. Donnell; management committee, Mesdames R. G. Kaywood and P. Hawker, Miss F. Henshilwood, and Messrs. N. Browne, A. McLean, and J. L. Jenkins.
