This was followed by the "Rhapsody" by the same composer. At the conclusion of the concert, Mr. C. Nicholls, chairman of the committee connected with the concerts, presented the prizes. For an essay competition on the first concert the prize-winners were: Bruce Mason (Wellington College), 1; Monica Burnett (Wellington Girls' College), 2.
