TIME FOR COACHING

In accordance with a-promise to Mr. A. C. ("Johnny") Wallace, who will coach the New South Wales Rugby .Union team to meet the New Zealand All Blacks on the Sydney Cricket Ground on July 16, the management committee of the union has decided that the State team will be selected today, to give the side two weeks' preparation for the match under Mr. Wallace. This match will be the first of the All Blacks' Australian tour.

The Australian team will be selected on the night of the AH Blacks-New South Wales match, and will have a week's coaching under Mr. Wallace for the first Test match against New Zealand on July 23. The Australian side lor the first Test will be announced in Sydney. The Australian selectors, Messrs. W. W. Hill, J. G. Blackwood, A. F. M. Pratt (New South Wales), S. Ryan (Queensland), and W. Christie (Victoria), who have already seen matches between the three States, will

be present at the All Blacks-New South Wales game, states the "Sydney Morning Herald."

The Australian team for the second Test match will be announced in Brisbane on July 30, after the match between the All Blacks and Queensland on that date. The second Test will be played on the following Saturday, August 6, in Brisbane. The Australian side for the third Test will be announced in Brisbane after the second Test. The third Test will be played on the Sydney Cricket Ground on August 13.
