KELBURN CLUB
At its annual meeting on Thursday the Kelburn Bowling Club after a long discussion decided to enter 12 rinks in the senior pennant competition.
In presenting the report, which was adopted, the president, Mr. R. Caughley, said the club had experienced a successful year in every respect. After a brief discussion of the letter from the Wellington Centre proposing the adoption of a uniform colour for all clubs in its district, a resolution was adopted opposing the suggestion. A vote of sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Mr. A. W. Bethune, who died on Wednesday. Officers elected were:—President, Mr. J. Pears; vice-president, Mr. C. W. Nielsen; secretary, Mr. J. E. Widdop; treasurer, Mr, F. E. Wright; green superintendent, Mr. F. C. Widdop; committee, Messrs. R. 8.. Scott, W. HayMcKenzie, A. J. Wicks, L. J. Watkins; auditor, Mr. W. E. Arnold; delegate to Wellington Centre, Mr. W. Hay-McKen-zie; games manager, Mr. F. S. Pope; selection committee, Messrs. F. S. Pope, A. J. Wicks, W.. Spence; trustees, Messrs. T. Gray, H. A. Parkinson; billiards and social committee. Messrs. K. W. Gorringe, J. M. Hamilton, K. C. Morpeth, L. J. Watkins, F. Wilton, J. E. Widdop. Trophies won during the year were presented by the president.
