POSSESSION OF ISLANDS
NO FINALITY YET
| BRITAIN AND UNITED STATES (Received May 10, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 9. The Australian Associated Press says that although it is reported from Washington that agreement has been reached concerning the possession of Canton and Enderbury Islands, British Government quarters say that the final acceptance by the United States of British points is still awaited. The report that Antarctic territories were included in the discussions is denied here, where it is stated that no dispute with America exists regarding the Antarctic.
